Hotel Pet Policy

 

Welcome to Howard Johnson Toronto East.  We thank you for choosing our property and we look forward to making your stay as enjoyable as possible for both you and your little companion.  To ensure the safety and happiness of all our hotel guests, we have instituted certain policies and procedures regarding your pet to be followed during your entire stay with us.  All pets are required to check-in at the Front Desk upon arrival at the property!

 

  • The pet must weigh less than 20-25 pounds

 

  • There is an additional charge of  $15.00 per animal per day (Max. 2 per room). An additional deposit of $200 is required for any possible excessive and/or exceptional cleaning charges at the hotel property.

 

  • The hotel advises against leaving your pet unattended, but if the need should arise, we ask you to notify the Front Desk and leave a telephone number that you can be reached at in case of emergency

 

  • The hotel accepts the maximum length of stay with pets at 10 nights ONLY. Guest must allow hotel’s inspection on room conditions by given an advance notice. Any additional nights of stay are totally subject to hotel’s discretion.

 

Pets must be on their leash or in a pet cage when in common areas of the hotel at all times and are prohibited from the Cheever’s breakfast room and the pool area.

 

The pet is to be properly controlled at all times while on hotel property.

 

YOU MUST BE IN YOUR ROOM, OR OUT WITH YOUR PET WHEN THE MAID IS CLEANING THE ROOM.  THE MAID WILL NOT CLEAN YOUR ROOM IF THE PET IS IN THERE WITHOUT YOU!

 

When away from your room, please keep your pet in a secured kennel/cage to ensure safety of our staff and your pet.  Any contravention of applicable statutes, laws, or regulations respecting the welfare of the animals will be reported to the proper authorities.

 

As the registered guest, you are financially responsible for any possible damages caused by the pet including lost potential hotel income.  You are also responsible for any excessive and/or exceptional cleaning charges at the hotel property.  This includes, but is not limited to pet odors and pet stains.

 

You will be given an opportunity to eliminate any noise and/or odor complaints from other guests.  In the event you are unable to satisfy this clause, you will be asked to leave the property and could be financially responsible for any and all costs associated with appeasing the guest complaints.

It is strict policy of this hotel property to have any guest bringing in a pet accept and adhere to it.  If you feel uncomfortable with this policy, then we apologize, but we will be unable to accommodate you.
